Chapter 4

The importance of chapter 4 cannot be overstated. There will be multiple questions on the AP test from this chapter both in the multiple choice and the free response sections. A major part of the free response is being able to complete net ionic equations and answer questions about the reaction. This chapter will prepare you for this task, as well as give you the basis for the rest of the class. Make sure you have a very solid grasp of each section in this chapter. There will be at least one quiz during this chapter.

Solubility chart You should MEMORIZE this chart. These rules will have to be followed the rest of the year when dealing with precipitate reactions.

Strong Acids and Bases- this list must be memorized as well for your test. Make sure to also memorize the gas formation acid reactions.
