Branched Amino Acids (BCAAs)
BCAA's = Leucine, isoleucine, valine, During excercise, BCAA's go down, fatty acids go up, causing tryptophan goes up.
Has been shown to aide in weight loss by increasing protein synthesis (Chandler, T.J.) BCAA's decrease the build of serotonin, a neurotransmitter leading to sleepiness. Should be considered for competitions lasting more then 2 hours.
