Box Elder Biology Remediation

This class is designed to remediate Biology A and Biology B. There is no actual timing for this class, it is completely self paced. You will be responsible to timely complete all assignments.

There are four sections for each class. You will have to complete the material with at least 60% to receive credit for this class. Each unit will consist of three main types of instruction-

• Readings- The readings will access various sites from the internet with Biology content. With the readings will be assignments that will need to be completed and emailed to me. The assignments will just touch the surface of the readings. Do NOT just fill in the required information! You will need to make sure that you completely understand the material. If you have questions, ask. You will not pass the exams if you do not read all the material.

• Video lectures- The video lectures are more of a review of the material presented in the readings. They will help you prepare for the test and are targeted at supporting the most important material in the reading. Assignments from the video lectures will be few and far between.

• Activities- These will be limited and few due to the summer school environment, but activities will support the lessons as well as give you the opportunity to do some hands on biology.

At the end of each unit will be a practice exam as well as a final exam. You may take the practice exam as many times as you want and may take the final test twice. You must pass the final exam with at least 65% to be considered minimally proficient, and earn a passing grade.
