For March, answer one of these questions for each day missed. You may pick any you want. Use the web as a resource to answer these questions.

 

1. Describe the difference between the independent and the dependent variable.
2. List the instructions for leaving the building in the case of a fire alarm.
3. List five different safety rules for our class.
4. List the five different parts of your grade and the percentages that they are worth.
5. What is the average velocity of a car traveling 80 km in 2 hours. Give the definition of average velocity both mathematically and written.

For April answer one of the following for each day that you were absent.

1. Define velocity and speed. Compare each to each other.
2. Define distance and displacement .Compare each to each other.
3. If I am at home plate and I hit a home run, what will be my total displacement after running the four bases, what would be my total distance traveled. (all bases are 90ft apart)
4. What would be my speed in number 3 if the total trip took me 28 seconds? What would be my velocity?
5. Find on the web definitions for the following, Speed, Velocity, Acceleration, and displacement.
6. What is the acceleration of a ball thrown upward at the very top of its trajectory? Explain your answer.
7. A baseball after it has been hit off of the bat has an acceleration of what? Explain your answer.
8. Explain why the leaning tower of Pizza has not fallen over.
9. Explain why it is better for a building to have a low center of gravity.
10. Give Newton's three laws in your own words.
